Profession: Full Certified Professional Ski Instructor (always) and Nurse (occasionally).
Hobbies: Skiing, climbing, mountain biking, running and triathlons.
Passion: Skiing has been a life long passion. At Alta, where I have worked for the last 23 winters, we have developed women’s camps that allow me to facilitate and coach women at a high level. This has my rekindled my passion for skiing year after year.
How did you get into skiing: Growing up in Montana, there is not a lot to do in the winter so my parents started us on cross country skis at 2. I did not alpine ski till 7 years old and started racing at 9.
Why do you ski: Skiing has always been a constant in my life. My first Love! Coaching helped me pay for college. It’s my “happy place”! Sharing it with my 2 boys has brought me immense joy.
What does the Blizzard Tecnica Women to Women project mean for you? It’s awesome! I am so happy that Tecnica/Blizzard is committing the time, energy and money to making equipment that is REALLY for women (not just a shrunk down men’s version). This will help the women that I ski with everyday to reach their goals! This project is so exciting.
Women understand what they want but also
have an open mind to new ideas and directions that
will improve, elevate and expande their horizons.
